The house

Umoja is a luxurious self catering accomodation for 6 persons. The house is built in authentic African style with thatched roofs to keep you cool in the hot summers. It is surrounded by a wrap-around terrace –stoep – with a private splash pool and a spacious garden that secures your privacy. While preparing your BBQ (braai) you have a view over the waterhole where you can frequently spot the animals that roam freely on the estate.

From the moment you arrive, you will experience that absolute bush feeling. So don’t be surprised if the impala’s or waterbuck spend the night in your garden!


The modern and cosy living room with leather sofaset, LED television with DSTV and free WIFI is there for your comfort. Large glass sliding doors offer great views of the bush and give access to the garden and the wrap-around terrace which is furnished as an extension of the living room; the ultimate indoor/outdoor living style. Air-conditioning keeps you cool in the warmest of summers.


The fully equipped kitchen can even satisfy the real cooks amongst you. A large American fridge with ice maker and filtered ice water, a 5-burner gas cooker with oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher; it’s all there for your comfort. With open plan living, the kitchen forms part of the living room. Large French doors open to the terrace with a small sitting area to enjoy the typical African bird sounds. (Birders paradise! Over 90 species counted in the garden alone!!)

The villa has 3 spacious bedrooms, each offering room to 2 persons. 

Bedroom 1

The master bedroom has a King size bed, an en-suite bathroom in typical African style with bath, shower, wc, hairdryer, and is equipped with towels and toiletries. The bedroom has French doors to the terrace, with an outdoor shower and gives access to the dining terrace. It has views over the waterhole.  An air-conditioning and ceiling fan cool the room during the warm summers and the windows have mosquito screens.


Bedroom 2

This shaded bedroom has two single beds set as a double bed and also an en-suite bathroom. Here French doors lead to the different side of the terrace leading onto the kitchen terrace with a nice seating area. Again airco and a ceiling fan as well as mosquitoscreen in front of the windows. 


Bedroom 3

This somewhat smaller bedroom has two single beds, also and en-suite bathroom, airco and mosquitonets.  All bedrooms have luxurious mosquitonets over the beds. French doors give access to a semi private terrace with a lounge set to enjoy the views of the Kruger park at the horizon.


The sunny terrace of the third bedroom has a spectacular view over the bush and the early morning sunsets. It is semi-shielded from both the kitchen as well as the swimming pool terrace thus offering multiple seating areas when travelling with a several couples.



All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with double vanity, sepeate bath and shower in typical African style. Towels, hotel ammenities and hairdryer are provided.

Terrace and garden

The wrap around terrace provides maximum indoor-outdoor living and is mostly covered by the thatched roof. There is a stone barbecue (braai) on the swimming pool terrace to enjoy those typical bush evenings. The splash pool and braai overlook the waterhole where animals often come for a drink. Two pool loungers and two chairs to enjoy a sundowner and the those typical bushsounds like the howling of the hyena or roaring Kruger lions near the fence.A private covered carport to park 2 cars. The house has an alarm system.
